CRANK- Ellen Hopkins. DAY 3
Kristina is home again, but its not long before she realizes that after being on the "monster"(crank) for the past three weeks, she fiends for it. To her convenience though, the monster is not hard to find when living in Reno. New friends develop and Bree (the side of Kristina whom takes risks) reunites with her addiction. She gains not one, but two boyfriends, Chad and Brendan. Everything is going fine for awhile, unlimited crank and unlimited love, or so she thinks. Bree is quick to find herself in a situation she never imagined, thinking she could trust Brendan but only to find out he was only interested in sex. Brendan rapes Bree and at that moment Bree understands that feeling wanted isn't the same as feeling loves. Bree never talks to Brendan after that, but she falls deeper into Chad's heart. And on her birthday, Kristina, not Bree, finally realizes what it is like to really truly be loved. In one night things seem to be the best, but in coming home, things could make a turn towards the worst.

CRANK- Ellen Hopkins. DAY 2
Kristina is with her father for the next three weeks visiting and already on her first day she meets a boy named Adam. She introduces herself as Bree, a carefree, rebellious essence of herself. Bree isn't afraid of anything and is up for new things, one of which is Crank. Crank is what they call meth, and she tries it at the bowling ally where he dad works. Adam opens her eyes to a world of drugs and Adam and Bree fall deeply into an exciting and unbelievable romance, and once the three weeks is up Bree has to return home not yet realizing that home means away from her new addictions and away from her love.

CRANK- Ellen Hopkins. DAY 1
I started to read the book CRANK today and so far, I love the layout. It tells a story in the layout of a poem. Each chapter and/or poem tells a little more about the main character and their current situation. So far all I really know about the main character is background information and her family situation. Kristina is a high school girl who is overall mannerly and honorable. She has just moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico to live with her father after 8 years. As of now I am enjoying the book and looking forward to really diving into it and getting hooked on the plot.
